MOUNTAIN EDGE EST. 2001
In 2001 after years of organising popular and successful national geographic expeditions around the UK for family and friends, Gary Greenwood (Mountain Leader) and Richard Bickerton founded Mountain Edge based in North West England.
Their organised UK events proved so popular with their regular clients, that they were asked to do global expeditions, so Gary and Richard began to lead worldwide trips. Their international expeditions became well known locally and very much in demand so in 2006 Gareth Griffiths joined the Mountain Edge Team as Training Organiser. Due to the increasing number of people looking to take part in these life changing adventures, the team needed to ensure success by organising the fitness and training sessions to allow people to accomplish their goals.
Our Trips
We have readily available trips to Africa, Asia and South America, as well as regular UK trips.
A high percentage of our customers are repeat booking, giving us great scope to broaden our range of expeditions, treks and trips and go even further.

We have a great success rate of 90% since establishment in 2001.
This year,2017, we are only the 2nd summit team to reach tent peak in Annapurna, a proud achievement.
Training Days;
To ensure your best chance of success on your adventure we recommend a training programme for you. This will help you to achieve the optimum levels of fitness required to reach your goal. This is usually through organised training days and weekends, these are trekking days and hill rep days where we help prepare you for altitude.
